Linux for Beginners
In the comments of my last post, Eldis asked for an introduction to Linux. I began writing one but quickly realized that I would not be able to explain it as well as someone much more knowledgeable on the subject. There is an excellent introduction over at Linux Online that is written for those who have little to no experience with Linux. It is very informative and is written in a way that even the greenest n00b can understand.

ReplyDeletehahaha cool man!
ReplyDeleteI should brush up on my linux more. Thanks for the link it will really help!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info man.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a point in blogging... To write about stuff? I mean, I'd rather you'd have given it a shot instead of just a link. After all, a search engine returns the same info. Know what I mean?
ReplyDeleteOr maybe just add yor two cents on what you think is the top (I don't know) 3 things you should take with you from that article.
ReplyDelete@Futomara, I completely agree with you. However, with a subject as intense as Linux, I honestly would have not been able to give it justice. "How to use Linux" is just too broad a topic for a blog, imo, unless I was to do a 50 part series. Now, had the question been "How to set up Damn Small Linux as a firewall/router?", then I would have written it myself.
ReplyDeletelinux eh? never tried it but sure seems interesting
