I know there are probably several hardcore Linux geeks that read my blog so I have to give them a shoutout. I'm not as intense into Linux as some of my friends but I do enjoy playing around with it and have for years. A good friend got me started on Slackware many, many years ago and for a while it was a bit of an obsession. I still prefer Slack over any other distro just because it is what I learned on and I have a bit of sentimental attachment to it. I do run several other distros though. SuSe, Ubuntu, and DSL being some of my other favorites.
Linux Geeks, let yourselves be known! What distros are you running at the moment?
one time I used ubuntu and is great :D
ReplyDeleteHello Linux nice to meet you:))
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about linux, I'm pretty sure I'll learn more about it reading your blog, keep it up ! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't like linux :(
ReplyDeleteI love Linux. In fact, I am in the process of developing a new distro based on Debian (not Ubuntu - although I do love Ubuntu). I was converted by Slackware... And still love the fist 'mainstream' distro!
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine uses Linux. He alsways has trouble with it.
ReplyDeleteLinux rules!
ReplyDeleteHaven't really used Linux before, but my friend's doing a Phd in computing science and swears by it :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still learning :(
ReplyDeleteOnly using Ubuntu on my netbook. The netbook came with Windows 7, which ran it fine, just I wanted to try something new on it, and as I only use it for University stuff, it's not like I need Windows as Ubuntu has everything I need.
ReplyDeletei like your blog thats probably one of the reason i keep coming every day ;) to check out what's new :)
ReplyDeleteI didnt understand a cot dayem word haah.
ReplyDeleteI run ubuntu on my netbook (but dual boot it with win7). I doubt I could ever use it as my main OS, simply because I'm too lazy to really learn all the ropes of ubuntu.
ReplyDeleteI've really wanted to try linux. Customization is sick
ReplyDeletei run ubuntu on my laptop, and windows on my desktop...i take different computer classes at my local community college, just got fun, don't take it serious, i plan on taking some on linux...
ReplyDeleteLinux is pretty good but only if u got a slow pc otherwise beside the good firewall protection i dont need it.
ReplyDeleteI'm triple booting Mac OS X, Windows 7 and Ubuntu. Ubuntu is just fun with all the cool things it can do. And I love how the community is open source.
ReplyDeleteNever could get into linux myself.

ReplyDeleteFirst step is admitting you have a problem.
ReplyDeleteI was afraid of Linux in the beginning, but now it feels like i cut my arm of when i use Windows.
ReplyDeleteIf linux could get it's functionality closer to win as design and buttons, everyone would just like flip towards it.
